A boesman10 sighting, you come in so rarely but when you do it is to drop knowledge on us like a gift from the sky. Will have to wait till next summer to evaluate. I live in Arizona and I want to be proactive on this issue.
Windows and trunk lock and won't move. The engineer there told me that the top would shift little by little sometimes when the car moves i. I have read many threads and info from other places, and found a workaround for this issue that I have not seen posted anywhere else at least it works for me. Yes, I just used it as a verb. After reading these posts tried the gentle Boesman push with success, temporarily. Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum because I have the roof unlocked problem. All went well until I put the roof back up, which worked however the back window would not go up!! Do you have a trailer hitch on the car? My car is not under warranty, so I'm not anxious for a big repair that may not fix the real problem. After this is done, remove the allen wrench. I have drawn the approx location of where this bar lies with a red dot indicating the pivot point where the faulty sensor lies.
I'm assuming in my case the problem lies with the sensor on the driver side, because I never had to do this on the passenger side, but it may be that in some cases one will have to do this on the passenger side as opposed to the driver side as shown in the third attachment. The sensors are located on the drivers side only. I can't believe how easy that was, I have had my car in the shop for this a half dozen times. Add me to the list. Are you sure it was the passenger side that you pushed on?. They have already modified the sensor once, we will try a different dealer next. The V8 delivers ferocious acceleration and an invigorating exhaust note.
