Finally, Mastricht gives his rationale for the best distribution of theological topics. As a body of divinity, it combines a rigorous, scholastic treatment of doctrine with the pastoral aim of preparing people to live for God through Christ. Mastricht is a phenomenal theologian. In the case of pastors and theologians that could mean misunderstanding a text, a doctrine, or a practice as well. The opinions expressed are my own. But in other ways, it would be a gross violation of human rights if implemented today. Jesus Christ, lived the life of obedience that the Father demanded of us but that we could not live, and He died the death that the Father required of us as sinners, though He Volume 1 was without sin.
